TARA

Tara (Founder and CEO) - Tara Levy is an artist, author and educator from the western suburbs of Chicago. Additionally, she is the founder of the Liberated Arts Movement, a collective of creatives dedicated to the enrichment of historically underserved communities and people of color through art and cultural programming. For the last nine years, Tara has worked in education serving in various capacities from being a high school English teacher, academic advisor to a community engagement coordinator. Tara's passion for education and youth development has heavily influenced her art practices and community work.

RAM

Ram (founding board member) - Ram (they/them) or Nahla (she/her) is a movement artist based in Chicago. Ram has been in a variety of dance teams and studios across the city and has performed in multiple states. Ram was also a proud special education teacher for 5 years in North Lawndale.

TANAE

Tanae (founding board member) - Tanae B. is a spoken word artist, singer, community organizer, and author of Joy & Contradictions. Music being her and her family's first love. She blends spoken word, song, and music to bring her audience into her experiences and connectivity. With a heart for society and arts, she aims to use her voice to uplift and empower our inner love to shine outwards to each other.
